As part of Omaha Creative Institute’s ongoing commitment to support local artists by providing grant, exhibition, and professional development opportunities, we are excited to showcase the work of the recipient of our Spring 2018 Working Parent Artist Grant, Topher Booth.
Topher and his band, Nation, are gearing up to release their first full-length album in the summer of 2018. A blend of folk, Americana blues, and infectious pop hooks, their music finds roots in familiar traditions while extending its reach to new audiences. In anticipation of Nation’s upcoming album release, Topher will be performing an intimate, acoustic set at Omaha Creative Institute (1419 South 13th Street, Suite 103) on April 6th at 7:00pm. Audience members will gain insight into Topher’s process as he talks about songwriting and the drive to make music. A new music video for a track off of Nation’s forthcoming album, will also be screened for the very first time.
This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
About Topher: Upbeat to hearing your heartbeat, Topher Booth puts a lot of himself in to not only his writing, but the performance of the art. The honest take on personal experience comes through his high energy acoustic blend of percussive driven guitar, layered with big notes and subtle tones, as he sings a blend of earthy folk-blues with a dash of pop-sensibility.
